The EX5 features the hybrid Extended Synthesis tone generation system, an integration of five different tone generators—a PCM-based AWM 2 tone generator, a physical modeling-based VL tone generator, an AN tone generator that reproduces analog synth behavior with a DSP, a sampling tone generator that functions as a sampler, and a newly developed FDSP tone generator that generates tones by using pitch and other note data to control a DSP.
By effectively combining these tone generators, users can produce a limitless array of sounds.
