The R-08 Series are racing model boots designed for use in competition, and were made based on test data from top racers, including Japan's national team.
Featuring both torsion and flex control, their design made it easy to use both feet.
From 1993, all iota models utilized iota insoles, which had only been used in one of the models in the 1992 lineup. These are inner boot insoles impregnated with a unique thermoplastic material that "remembers" the shape of individual skiers' feet, preventing the feet moving significantly within the boots while skiing, and improving the fit on the soles.
