This model was developed for Argentine professional Gabriela Sabatini—the world’s third-ranked player at her peak—after she endorsed Yamaha in 1991. While the previous EX-110 model was designed for power players, this model features increased touch and control to adapt to changes in Sabatini’s playing style. The 20-mm thick beam is stiff at the throat and tip, and flexible in the middle so that the flex point is in the center of the hitting surface, delivering a balance between responsive rebound and dwell feeling.
