Hand-Wound Gramophone
Around 1922
Yamaha began production of hand-cranked gramophones in 1922.
We have not been able to confirm the year that this gramophone was made, but an illustration of a grand piano, "YAMAHA GRAMAPHONE", "YAMAHA", a tuning forks mark, and "N.G.K" are written on the inner surface of its body. "MADE BY N.G.K. No. 101" is also engraved on the rear of the sound box that receives the vibrations of the needle.
