An App That Comfortably Fits into Your Daily Life.
MusicCast is a new home-network audio system from Yamaha. Not only does it allow you to play a variety of streaming services, it also networks your compatible in-home devices so that you can share and play all your music files. Devices that are not MusicCast-enabled can also be connected using Bluetooth™. MusicCast Controller is an app downloaded to your smartphone or tablet that controls this network of devices. The app has been designed for stress-free, intuitive operation just by selecting what music to play and which room to play it in, thereby avoiding the common difficulties of network technology.
The app interface uses plenty of visual cues and icons to ensure this intuitive operation. Each setting screen has a helpful tutorial that makes setting up MusicCast less trouble than handling a PC network. As you enjoy testing your music files on the system, the straightforward setup steps take almost no time at all. With many network apps made with streaming services in mind, the default top screen asks which music source you would like to play. MusicCast Controller, however, brings pictures of rooms to the top screen so that you can decide which room to play music in (or which device to access). This makes the app feel more like a natural part of your lifestyle. These high-quality room pictures have been carefully selected by the development staff to cover as many color and interior style variations as possible. You can also use your own custom pictures from your device's library.
These system and visual design choices make full use of the user-focused expertise Yamaha developed while creating the Relit series. Working from the user's perspective and designing straightforward, trouble-free operation by touch and feel, the development staff made every effort to craft a desirable product that adds an element of richness to the home entertainment experience.
