  EEPROM  
  Electrically Eraseable Programmable Read Only Memory — Most commonly referred to as flash ROM. A flash ROM chip. A type of memory chip which allows storage of data that can be updated all at once or in fixed blocks. This chip does not require a continuous electrical charge to retain data. This is slower than RAM memory.
