Frequently Asked Questions
Configuration (Registration)

Q.

When I replace a client, it can't obtain the IP Address.

A.

Turn off other clients and try again. See "I am using the DHCP service." section as a reference.

Q.

I have removed a registered MusicCAST client, or swapped the assignment of IDâs between clients. But the "Bookmark" lists or "Song Statistics" lists stayed with the client.

A.

It is normal. The "Bookmark" lists and "Song Statistics" lists are attributes of the IDâs registered to the MusicCAST clients. They are not attributes of the MusicCAST clients themselves.

Q.

The "Auto Configuration" does not work well -- The Time Limit counter doesn't begin to count down.

A.

Move the cursor to "Cancel" and press SELECT to exit the Auto Configuration menu, and then re-enter the menu. If that does not work, then try pressing and holding STANDBY/ON button for more than two seconds, until the five client status LEDs are turned on and off in turn, to reboot the MusicCAST server. After that, try again.

Q.

The "Auto Configuration" does not work well -- The "Configuration Time Out" message appeared on the client's display.

A.

Retry the "Auto configuration" on the client. If that does not work, exit the Auto Configuration menu on each server and client, and then try again.

Q.

The "Auto Configuration" does not work well -- The "Configuration failed" message appeared on the client's display.

A.

There are some problems on the network. Confirm the network settings of your MusicCAST server and client.
