PSR640
Enabling a PSR640 to control an external Vocal Harmonizer
A Vocal Harmonizer is controlled via MIDI Note data received from the PSR640. Setting a MIDI Transmit Channel on the PSR640 to 'Upper' or 'Lower' enables either the Upper or Lower part of the Keyboard to control the Vocal Harmonizer.Reference: Owner's Manual, p.29
- 1) Press the [FUNCTION]
button.
2) Press the [+] or [-] buttons to scroll through the Function options and select 'F5 MIDI'.
3) Press the [NEXT] button.
4) Press the [+] or [-] buttons to select 'Transmit Channel'.
5) Press the [NEXT] button.
6) Press any of the [1] - [16] 'Track' buttons to select a corresponding MIDI channel. Be certain to select the same MIDI Transmit channel that corresponds to the Vocal Harmonizer's MIDI Receive channel.
7) Press the [+] or [-] buttons to select the 'Upper' or 'Lower' setting for the selected channel. Select 'Upper' to control the Harmonizer from right-hand notes or select 'Lower' to control the Harmonizer from left-hand notes.
