Formatting a Smart Media Card on an S90
Before using a new SmartMedia Card, or to clear all existing data, the SmartMedia Card must first be formatted.NOTE: The card must be 3V (3.3 Volts).
WARNING: All user-stored data on the SmartMedia Card will be deleted.

With the power turned OFF, insert
a SmartMedia Card into the '3.3V Card' slot.
NOTE: The card can also be inserted with the power
ON, but any non-saved edits on the S90 will be erased.
Turn ON the power.
Press the [CARD] button.
Press the [F1] 'FORMAT’
button.
Enter a 'Volume Label' (name for
the card) in the screen.
Press the [ENTER] button.
Press the [YES] button.
