Recording Vocals
Using the Integrated Sampling feature, audio tracks for things like vocals and instrumental solos can be recorded directly into the Motif ES6/7/8.
NOTE: The Motif ES6/7/8 does not come with memory for sampling pre-installed. However, DIMM memory of up to 512MB can be installed. The maximum recording time for for one sample is 6.5 minutes (64MB of memory).

From SONG or PATTERN mode, press the [INTEGRATED SAMPLING] button.
Press the [F1] 'DEST' button and select a destination Track.
Press the [F2] 'SOURCE' button.
Select 'Sample+Note' for the Type.
Select 'A/D' for the Source.
Press the [F6] 'REC' button.
Dial 'level' for the 'TrggrMode'.
Dial '1' for the Trigger Level.
Press the [F6] 'REC' button again, or just start singing to begin recording.
Press the [F6] button to stop recording.
Press the [SONG] button and play back the Song to hear the recording.
Record audio to other Tracks by repeating steps 1 - 11.
