Using Performance Assistant on a PSRK1
For those with little or no musical experience, the Performance Assistant feature of the PSRK1 lets the user play the keys and improvise along with a song, without playing any wrong notes. No matter which keys are played, the Performance Assistant reads the chord and harmonic data of the song, and makes sure that only appropriate notes are assigned to the keys.
Try playing the Demo Song for this example:

Press the [DEMO] button.
Adjust the volume with the (MASTER VOLUME) knob.
Press the [PERFORMANCE ASSISTANT] button so it illuminates.
Once the Song begins to play, try the following:

Play any 3 notes at the same time with the each hand.
Play several notes one after the other with different fingers of the right hand.
Play any notes with the left hand and right hand alternately.
Sweep any hand up and down the keyboard.

Press the [START/STOP] button to stop the Song. The Performance Assistant will work with the internal Songs as well.
