Transposing a Song on a PSR1100 and PSR2100
The 'KEYBOARD TRANSPOSE' [-] and [+] buttons on the front panel of the PSR1100/PSR2100 are for transposing the pitch that the keyboard plays.
To "temporarily" transpose the key of a Song, use the 'TUNE' section of the 'MIXING CONSOLE' screen.
To "permanently" transpose the key of a Song (and re-save it), use the 'NOTE SHIFT' feature on the 'EDIT' page of the 'SONG CREATOR'.

Transposing the Pitch of the Keyboard:

Use the 'TRANSPOSE' [-] and [+] buttons on the front panel to transpose the pitch of the keyboard up or down in half-step increments.
Transposing a Song (Temporarily):

Select a Song.
Press the [MIXING CONSOLE] button to the left of the screen.
Use the [BACK] and [NEXT] buttons to select 'TUNE' at the top of the screen.
Use the '2'
or
toggle buttons under 'SONG' in the screen to transpose the Song up or down in half-step increments.
Transposing a Song (Permanently):

Select a Song.
Press the [DIGITAL RECORDING] button to the left of the screen.
Press the [A] 'SONG CREATOR' button.
Use the [BACK] and [NEXT] buttons to select the 'CHANNEL' page in the screen.
Use the [A] and [B] buttons to select 'CHANNEL TRANSPOSE'.
Use the toggle buttons below the screen to select the desired transposition amounts for each Track of the Song.
When finished, press the [I] 'SAVE' button.
Use the [BACK] and [NEXT] buttons to select a permanent memory area ('USER' memory or 'FLOPPY DISK') to store the transposed Song into.
Use the [A] - [J] buttons to select a location in the chosen memory area.
Press the '6'
'SAVE' button under the screen.
Use the [1] - [8] toggle buttons under the screen to name the Song.
Press the '8'
'OK' button to save the Song into the chosen memory location.
