Creating a Pattern Chain with Multiple Meters on a MOTIF6-7-8
When chaining Patterns (Style Sections) with multiple meters (3/4 with 4/4 with 6/8, etc.), the meter for each Measure must first be set up in the Pattern Chain Edit screen.
If many Measures of a particular meter need to be created in a row, the 'COPY EVENT' function in Pattern Chain Edit mode can be used.

Selecting the Meter for a Measure in Pattern Chain Edit Mode:

Press the [PATTERN] button.
Press the [F6] 'CHAIN' button.
Press the [EDIT] button.
Use the [Data Dial] or Cursor buttons to go to the desired Measure.
Press the
Cursor button to move to the Meter column and use the Data Dial or [-] and [+] buttons to select the desired meter.Copying Measures in Pattern Chain Edit Mode:
NOTE: See steps 1-3 above for entering Pattern Chain Edit mode.

Press the [F2] 'COPY' button.
Select the desired Measure(s) to be copied.
Select the Measure which the above Measure(s) are to be copied to.
Select the number of times the Measure(s) are to be copied.
Press the [ENTER] button.
