Dropping out the Accompaniment During Song Recording on the PSR550
The Chord Cancel feature works only in the F1, F2 of Full Keyboard fingering modes, AND it only works in the Quick Record Mode, not the Multi Record Mode.

Press [Function].
Turn the dial until the display indicates F5 UTILITY.
Press [NEXT].
Turn the dial until the display indicates Util: FINGERING.
Press [NEXT].
Turn the dial until the display indicates FINGERING = F1.
Press [EXIT].
Press [RECORD]. The red 'RECORD' LED should illuminate.
Turn the dial until the display indicates 'RecMenu:Song'.
Press [NEXT]. The display should indicate 'New Song'.
Press [NEXT]. The display should indicate 'SongRec:Quick Rec'.
Press [NEXT]. The display should indicate 'Rec Tr=Melody'.
Turn the dial until the display indicates 'Rec Tr=Acmp' or 'Rec Tr=Mel+Acmp'
Press [NEXT]. The display should indicate 'Song Rec Ready'.
Play the accompaniment part (full fingering) in the ACMP section (bottom 1.5 octaves)
Press any three adjacent keys in the ACMP section to drop out the accompaniment part.
The accompaniment part will resume when another full fingered chord is played in the ACMP section.
Press [STOP] or [ENDING] to stop recording.
Press [RECORD] when FINISHED recording, to exit the Record mode.
Press [YES] to save the song to disk.
