Entering Notes in Real Time from a MIDI Keyboard

1. Connect the MIDI out of the external keyboard to the MIDI in of the AN200 (make sure that the transmit and receive channels line up).
2. Select a pattern that you don't mind erasing and delete it by pressing SHIFT, then button [11] (PATTERN JOB: CLEAR SEQ function).
3. Select the track to be recorded. For this example, select the synth track.
4. Press the [RECORD] button.
5. Press the [PLAY/STOP] button and while it loops around, play some notes on the keyboard.
6. Press the [PLAY/STOP] button when this track is finished.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for additional tracks.
