S Series
Using a BC3A Breath Controller to Control the Volume on an S90
In order to use the Breath Controller, a Voice needs to be edited and Volume Control needs to be assigned to the Breath Controller. After editing the Voice, it then needs to be stored. Breath Controller Setup:1) Connect the BC3A to the S90.
2) Press the [VOICE] button in the 'MODE' group to select a Voice.
3) Press the [EDIT] button in the 'SEQUENCER' group.
4) Press the [COMMON] button located to the right of the Data Dial.
5) Press [F2] button below the LCD to select 'OUTPUT'.
6) Turn the Data Dial to set the Volume level to '0'.
7) Press the [F4] button below the LCD to select 'CTLSET'.
8) Press the [SF1] button to select 'SET 1/2'.
9) Press the appropriate

CURSOR buttons to move the cursor
to 'Source' in the 'SET2' column.
10) Turn the Data Dial until'BC (02)' is selected.
11) Press the appropriate

CURSOR buttons to move the cursor to the 'Dest' parameter.
12)Turn the Data Dial to set the 'Dest' parameter to 'Volume'.
NOTE: Other Controls can be selected to be controlled by a 'BC' (Breath Controller) device. Refer to the Data List for a complete list of destination parameters.
13) Press the appropriate

CURSOR buttons to move the cursor to the 'Depth' parameter.
14) Turn the Data Dial to set the 'Depth' parameter to '+63'.
15) Adjust the offset and gain controls on the BC3A so that playing the keys will not produce sound without breath being applied.
16) Play the keys while blowing into the BC3A.

12)Turn the Data Dial to set the 'Dest' parameter to 'Volume'.

16) Play the keys while blowing into the BC3A.
NOTE: If too much pressure is required to hear the sound, perform further adjustments on the gain and offset
controls of the BC3A.
Storing the Voice:
1) Press the [STORE] button.
2) Turn the Data Wheel or press the [INC/YES] and [DEC/NO] buttons to select a destination for the edited Voice.
3) Press the [ENTER] button.
4) Press the [INC/YES] button. After the Voice has been stored, a 'Completed' message will appear briefly on the screen.
