Programming a Sample Pad Change

The AW16G has four Quick Loop sample pads. For each sample pad there are four sample pad banks, for a total of up to sixteen samples that can be loaded into a song at one time. However, only four samples can be played at any given time.

It is possible to program the AW16G to change the selected pad bank for each individual sample pad during the course of the song. This allows the user to access more than just four samples during the course of the song.
  1. Press the [SONG] button until the Song Tempo screen is displayed.
  2. Cursor to 'NEW' in the LCD and press the [ENTER] button. A new tempo step will be added to the tempo map.
  3. Cursor to the 'MEASURE' section of the new tempo map step and use the [JOG WHEEL] to set the bar and beat at which the sample pads bank change will occur.
  4. Cursor to the 'PAD BANK' section of the new tempo map step and use the [JOG WHEEL] to set the 'PAD BANK' for the desired sample pad.

Note: The Pad Bank changes cannot be programmed according to absolute time. They must be programmed according to bars and beats.
