Controlling Individual Voice Element Volume on a Motif via an FC7 Foot Controller

In order to have an individual Element of a Voice respond to volume control by a Yamaha FC7 Foot Controller, the FC7 must be assigned to control 'Element Level'. 1) Press the [VOICE] button.

2) Press the [EDIT] button.

3) Press the [COMMON] button.

4) Press the [F4] 'CTL SET' button.

5) Press the [SF3] 'SET5/6' button.

6) In the 'SET5' section of the screen, select 'FC1' or 'FC2' for the 'Source' (depending on the jack to which the Foot Controller is plugged).

7) Select 'ELM-Lvl' for the Destination ('Dest').

8) Select '+63' for the 'Depth'.

9) Use the Data Dial and Cursor buttons to select the desired Elements (1 - 4) to
be controlled in the Voice.

The Element will now respond to volume level changes from the FC7.
