Uninstalling the Yamaha CBX Driver in Windows NT4

NOTE: Any changes made to the CBX driver when using the following procedure will not take effect until Windows is rebooted.

To remove the CBX driver using the CBX Driver for Windows setup application:
  1. Double-click the CBX Driver Setup application's 'setup.exe' file.
  2. Click the <Next> button to proceed past the 'Welcome' window.
  3. Select the 'Uninstall the YAMAHA CBX Driver' radio button in the 'Select Operation' window.
  4. Choose a desired reboot option by selecting the appropriate radio button in the 'Restarting Windows' prompt.
  5. Click the <OK> button in the 'Restarting Windows' prompt to either reboot the computer or to return to Windows.

To remove the CBX driver using Control Panel:
  1. Click the <Start> button from the Windows taskbar.
  2. Select 'Settings'.
  3. Select 'Control Panel'.
  4. Double-click the 'Multimedia' icon in the Control Panel. The 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box will appear.
  5. Click 'Devices' tab to open the 'Devices' tab page.
  6. Double-click 'MIDI Devices and Instruments' in the 'Multimedia Devices' list box.
  7. Select the 'MIDI for YAMAHA CBX Driver' in the 'MIDI Devices and Instruments' list.
  8. Click the <Remove> button.
  9. Click <Yes> when the 'Are you sure you want to remove the YAMAHA CBX Driver driver?' prompt appears.
  10. Click the <Restart Now> button to restart Windows and complete the process of removing the driver.
