Yamaha CBX Driver for Windows 3.x Download and Installation

To download the CBX Driver Version 1.3 for Windows 3.X:
  1. Click here to begin the download process.
  2. Choose to save the download file to a floppy disk or to a location on the PC hard drive.
  3. Once the file download is complete, open the floppy disk directory or the file location on the hard drive where the downloaded file has been placed.
  4. Double-click on the 'yam31.exe' file to extract the driver to the floppy disk or to a folder on the hard drive. Four files will be extracted: 'Cbxt3buf.386', 'Cbxt3.drv', and 'Oemsetup.inf'.

Windows 3.x CBX driver installation:
  1. Open 'Program Manager'.
  2. Double-click the 'Main' folder icon.
  3. Double-click the 'Control Panel' icon.
  4. Double-click the 'Drivers' icon.
  5. Click the <Add> button.
  6. Select 'Unlisted or Updated Driver' from the 'List of Drivers' box.
  7. Click the <OK> button.
  8. Type location of the CBX driver (if a floppy disk type either " A:\" or "B:\") in the 'Install Driver' prompt window, or click the <Browse> button to locate the driver on the hard drive.
  9. Click the <OK> button.
  10. Select 'Yamaha Serial Driver Version 1.3' from the 'Add Unlisted or Updated Driver' list box.
  11. Click the <OK> button.
  12. Select the appropriate COM port from the list of COM ports available for the Yamaha Host Device in the 'Yamaha CBX-T3 Serial Driver Setup' list box.
  13. Press the <OK> button.
  14. Restart Windows to complete the installation.
