Problems connecting two DAT units digitally to an 02R
The 02R has multiple configuration possibilities with two DAT units. The possibilities will vary, depending on whether the main objective of the configuration is multiple word clock master scenario.
The 02R was designed to prevent this type of configuration because the most likely result would be distorted digital audio, as indicated by ''pops'', ''snats'', and ''clicks'' during recording or playback.

The 'Processing' options for two DAT units are:

Use only one DAT in the 'Processing' scenario and configure the 02R so the DAT is the word clock master for the entire digital audio system.
NOTE: This solution is only viable if there are no other devices in the digital audio system that must be the word clock master.
Use DAT units that can be configured to be a word clock slave in 'PLAY' mode as well as 'RECORD' mode.
