02R compatibility with optical based digital audio products
Provided the product's optical standard is in compliance with the (8) channel Alesis standard (i.e ADAT), it can interface with the 02R via the CD8AT optical interface card. The CD8AT digital I/O is an (8) channels per optical cable (Light Pipe) format. It is not compatible with (2) channel formats, found on DAT machines and other consumer devices.
