Professional Stage Pianos

Activating the MIDI Panic feature on a P200

Unexpected hanging or sustained notes, sudden losses in volume, and stuck pitch bends can occasionally occur when using MIDI equipped products. The MIDI Panic feature on the P200 allows all MIDI devices to be reset to a default state, eliminating the hanging notes, etc.
To activate MIDI Panic:
  1. While holding down the [MIDI] button, press the [REVERB] and [MODULATION] buttons simultaneously. The 'MIDI PANIC SEND' screen will appear briefly.
NOTE: When the MIDI Panic feature is activated, the following messages are sent in sequence over all MIDI channels: All Notes Off; All Sounds Off; Channel Pressure Off; Sustain Pedal Off; Modulation Off; Pitch Bend (Center); Reset All Controllers. MIDI Panic has no effect while sending/receiving bulk data or while MIDI Merge is on.
