The Remote Channel setting can be configured to enable the operation of a MIDI Bass Pedal. The Yamaha keyboard will process MIDI note data as if it was being played directly from the keys on the keyboard. The Bass Pedal will control the Auto Accompaniment chord progression, allowing the possibility of playing additional instruments.

1) Connect a MIDI cable from the MIDI OUT of the Bass Pedal to the MIDI IN of the keyboard.

2) Determine the MIDI transmit channel of the Bass Pedal. (Refer to the documentation for the Bass Pedal).

3) Set the Remote Channel on the keyboard to the same channel as the MIDI Bass Pedal.
