Accessing Different Operating Modes on an SU10

The SU10 has four Operating modes. 'Play' mode is used to play samples and songs. 'Record' mode is accessed to record samples and create songs. The 'Edit' mode is used to set playback parameters for each sample. The 'Utility' mode consists of seven utilities (Recording, MIDI, Bulk, MSDS, Song, Lock and Initilize) that can be used to set parameters that are not sample specific. NOTE: The SU10 will always start in 'Play' mode when the unit is first turned on.

Accessing the Play Mode:
    1) Press the [EXIT] button to access Play mode from any other mode. The word 'PLAY' will appear in the upper right frame of the display screen.
    NOTE: Other SU10 operating modes must be accessed from Play mode.
Accessing the Record Mode:
    1) Press the [REC] button to access Record mode. The letters 'REC' will appear in the lower right corner of the display screen.
    Accessing the Edit Mode: 1) Press the [SHIFT] + [EDIT] button to enter the Edit mode. The word 'EDIT' will appear in the upper right frame of the display screen. 'Which Pad?' will also be displayed which prompts the user to select a Pad to edit.
Accessing the Utility Mode:
    1) Press the [SHIFT] + [UTIL] button to access the Utility mode. 'UTIL' will appear in the upper right frame of the display screen.

    2) Press the Left Button and Right Button buttons to scroll through and select different Utility options highlighted in the bottom left corner of the display screen.

    NOTE: The default option when entering Utility mode is always 'Utilty Rec' (Record).

    3) Press the [ENTER] button to access a selected Utility option.

    ACCESSING SU10 FUNCTIONS AND PARAMETERS IN UTILITY MODE
    REC Press the Left Button and Right Button buttons to select 'Grade', 'Pitch', 'Format', 'Input', 'RecTrg' (Record Trigger), 'Default' settings.
    MIDI Press the Left Button and Right Button buttons to select 'MIDICh' (MIDI Channel), 'DevNum' (MIDI Device Number), 'Local On/Off', 'RbnNum' (Ribbon Number), 'NoteTb Init?' (Initilize Note Table), 'NoteTb Clr?' (Clear Note Table) configurations.
    BULK Press the Left Button and Right Button buttons to select 'Dump Rcv' (Dump Receive), 'Dump Send', and 'Intrvl' (Interval) functions.
    MSDS Press the [-1] or [+1] buttons to select the sample to be dumped.
    SONG Press the [-1] or [+1] buttons to select Songs to be deleted.
    LOCK Press the Left Button and Right Button buttons to select a Bank or Song and the [-1] or [+1] buttons to turn the lock function Off or On.
    INIT Pressing the [ENTER] button will delete all data and initialize the SU10.
