Receiving a MIDI Sample Dump on an SY85

In order to receive a MIDI Sample Dump, the keyboard must be in Sample Dump Receive mode.

NOTE: Both MIDI IN and MIDI OUT terminals must be connected to the external MIDI device since the SY85 transmits a sample dump request message to initiate transmission by the external device.
To get into Sample Dump Receive mode:
    1) Press the [SHIFT] button (under the display) and the [UTILITY] button (at the left of the display) simultaneously.

    2) Press the [MIDI] button (across from the word MIDI) located to the left and below the [UTILITY] button under the 'Mode' heading.

    3) Use [CS3] to select the number of the sample to be received from the transmitting device; and use [CS7] to select the type of memory in which the data is to be stored.

    4) Initiate the Sample Dump from External Device by pressing the [ENTER/YES] button.
NOTE: If the memory type selected was 'Volatile' be certain to save the file to disk if it needs to be reloaded.
