QY70 Data Filer Program Does not Work on a Macintosh

For the Data Filer program to work properly, the QY70 should be attached to the Macintosh via a serial port prior to turning on the computer.
    1) Install the QY Data Filer program.

    2) Turn off the Macintosh computer.

    3) Move the QY70 [HOST SELECT] switch to ''MAC''.

    4) Run a serial cable from the QY70 'To Host' jack to the Macintosh printer or modem port.

    5) Turn the power on the QY70.

    6) Turn the power on the Macintosh.

    7) From the Macintosh, open the 'Chooser' in the 'Apple Menu' and turn 'Apple Talk' OFF.
MIDI Manager Configuration 1) From the 'Apple Menu', select 'PatchBay'.

NOTE: If the MIDI Manager or MIDI Patchbay in your EXTENSIONS folder cannot be found, this might be because some installation procedures automatically put these files into the DISABLED folder. If this is the case, drag them back into the EXTENSIONS folder to make the QY Data Filer program work.

    2) Double-click on the Apple MIDI Driver icon,

    3) Select which port (printer or modem) and the Interface Type (1MHz should work in most configurations).

    4) Open the QY Data Filer program.

    5) From the 'Apple Menu', select 'PatchBay'. The display should show two lines connecting the serial port (left side) arrows to the QY Data Filer icon (right side) arrows. If not, use the mouse to draw the two connecting lines between the arrows.
NOTE: If using a Power Book (laptop) with a Printer/Modem Port combination, the printer and modem in the MIDI Patchbay settings will need to be enabled.
