Transferring Data via MIDI Bulk Dumps between Two 02RV2 Mixers

It is possible to transfer Scene Memories, Automix Memories, Program Change Assign tables, and System Setup, as well as Effects, Dynamics, EQ, and Channel Library programs between two 02RV2 mixers via MIDI Bulk Dumps.
Preparing MIDI Transmission between Two 02RV2 Mixers:
  1. Connect the 'MIDI OUT' of the 02RV2 mixer that will be transmitting the data to the 'MIDI IN' of the 02RV2 mixer that will be receiving the data, using a standard MIDI cable.
  2. Select the desired channel for the MIDI data transfer on the transmitting 02RV2 mixer.

    1. Press the [MIDI] button in the 'DISPLAY ACCESS' group on the transmitting 02RV2. The 'MIDI Setup' page will be displayed on the LCD.
    2. Use the Encoder Wheel to select the desired channel from the 'Transmit Channel' section of the 'MIDI Setup' page.
    3. Press the [ENTER] button.
  1. Select the desired channel on the receiving 02RV2 mixer to receive the transferred data.
    1. Press the [MIDI] button on the 02RV2 mixer to open the 'MIDI Setup' menu page.
    2. Use the Encoder Wheel to select the desired channel from the 'Receive Channel' section of the 'MIDI Setup' page.
NOTE: The 'Receive Channel' selected must be the same as the transmit channel on the transmitting 02RV2 mixer.
  2. Press the [ENTER] button.

MIDI Bulk Dump Procedure:
NOTE: This procedure must be performed on the transmitting 02RV2 mixer.

  1. Press the [MIDI] button repeatedly to access the 'MIDI Bulk Dump & Request' menu page.
  2. Press the Left Button, Right Button, Up Button, or Down Button 'CURSOR' buttons to select a 'TYPE' of Bulk Dump(s) to be performed. Click here to view the list Types.
  3. Press the [ENTER] button. The selected 'TYPE' will be highlighted onscreen. If one 'TYPE' has been selected and only one Program or Memory is to be transferred at a time proceed to step 4. If it is desired to select additional data types, return to step 2; then proceed to step 5 after the additional 'TYPE' selections have been made.
NOTE: 'AUTOMIX' and 'SCENE MEM' can be toggled to compressed format before transmission by pressing the Up Button 'CURSOR' button. When toggled, the uppercase letters 'SCENE MEM' and 'AUTOMIX' will change to 'scene mem' and 'automix' to indicate the compressed format has been enabled. Pressing the Up Button 'CURSOR' button again will toggle the selections back to uncompressed format (upper case letters).
  4. Turn the Encoder Wheel to select the 'NUMBER' of the Program or Memory to be dumped.
NOTE: The number of the Program or Memory selected for the Bulk Dump can be selected for all the data types except System Setup and Program Change Assign Table data.
  5. Press the Left Button, Right Button, Up Button, or Down Button 'CURSOR' buttons to select the appropriate 'EXECUTE' options to perform the data transfer.
    1. Select 'BULK DUMP' to individually transfer the highlighted Program or Memory of the selected 'TYPE'.
      — or —
    2. Select 'DUMP ALL' to transfer all data 'TYPE' selections, and their Programs and Memories.
  1. Press the [ENTER] button to execute the Bulk Dump command. The current status of the bulk dump will be displayed in the 'STATUS' field at the bottom of the 'MIDI Bulk Dump and Request' page.
NOTE: All bulk dumps are transmitted directly across. For example, when the 'TYPE' selected is 'SCENE MEM' and the 'NUMBER' is '2' (Scene Memory 2) and a Bulk Dump is executed, it will be sent to Scene Memory 2 on the receiving 02RV2 mixer. It is not possible to transmit a Bulk Dump to a memory number other than the one in which it is stored.
