Step Recording the Pattern Track in a Song on a QY70
Step-recording the Pattern Track allows Pattern changes (Styles and Sections) to be easily inserted at the desired location within the Song.TIP: It is important to know the Pattern Section length, in measures, when creating the Pattern Track. For example, if a Pattern is four measures long and it is inserted at measure 20, the next change (whether it be the Style or Section) should be placed at measure 24.
- 1) Press the [SONG] button until the screen displays 'SONG' in the upper-left corner to enter the 'Song display' mode.
2) Use the

, or
'Cursor' buttons to move the cursor to 'Pt' (Pattern). NOTE: The 'Cursor' buttons are located on the upper-right side of the unit.
3) Press the
'Record' button. The red 'Record' LED will illuminate.4) Press the
'Up Cursor' button once and the
'Right Cursor' button twice to highlight 'STEP'.CAUTION: Moving the cursor to the right first will cause the QY70 to exit Pattern Record mode.
5) Press the [ENTER] button. The screen will display an 'R' underneath 'STEP'.
6) Press the
'Play' button. The green 'Play' LED will illuminate, the display will change to the Pattern Track screen and the cursor will appear on the first Measure. 7) Press the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] button to select the desired Pattern.
TIP: Press either the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] button briefly to decrement or increment the parameter by one, or hold the key for continuous decrementing of incrementing in the corresponding direction.
8) Press the
'Right Cursor' button to highlight the Style Section area.9) Press the [-1/NO] or [+1/YES] button to select the desired Style Section (Intro, Main A, Main B, Fill AB, Fill BA, or Ending).
10) Use the

, or
'Cursor' buttons to navigate to subsequent measures in order to enter any additional Style and/or Section changes.NOTE: Pattern Style and/or Section entries can be erased by first highlighting the desired entry and then pressing the top 'Function' (F1) button next to 'ERS>' on the display.
EXAMPLE: If the last Style part of the Song is entered at measure 80 and the Pattern is 4 measures long, then the last measure of the Song is actually 83, making the 'End' Pattern destination measure 84.

'Stop' button.13) Press the
'Go to Top' button to return to the first measure (the 'top') of the current Song.14) Press the
