Saving and Playing a Song using a SmartMedia Card on an S80
Sequenced songs in 'Standard MIDI File format 0' can be saved and played using a SmartMedia Card. The card must be a 3V type (3.3 Volts) and can be found with memory capacities of 2MB, 4MB, 8MB, 16MB, and 32MB.The 'Card Filer' application, which comes on the 'Tools' CD ROM is needed to transmit the MIDI files to the SmartMedia Card. The 'Card Filer' can be used on a PC running Windows or a Macintosh computer. Preliminary Setup:
- 1) Save a sequenced Song in Standard MIDI File 'format 0' to a drive on the computer (i.e. the hard drive).
NOTE: If the Standard MIDI File being used is 'format 1', it must be converted to 'format 0' using 'Card Filer', in order to work on a SmartMedia Card. (See 'Preliminary Setup' step 3).
