Transport Protection Pad Requirements for a CD-RW in an AW4416
The transport protection pad referred to in the AW4416 Owner's Manual is only applicable to older Yamaha CD Drives. The newer series of CD-RW Drives (CRW2100xx, CRW8824xx, and CRW8424xx) are designed in such a way that a transport protection pad is not required.
Any series of Yamaha CD Drives that require a transport protection pad will have one included with the drive when purchased new.
