Formatting a New Zip or Jaz Disk on a PSR9000 and 9000PRO

The PSR9000 and 9000PRO come with a 50-pin SCSI-2 port to connect with an external Iomega SCSI Zip ™ or Jaz ™ drive.

NOTE: When connecting a SCSI Jaz Drive, make sure that the keyboard has the latest operating system installed.

    1) Press the [DISK/SCSI] button.

    2) Press the [H] LCD button to access the 'FORMAT' page.

    3) Press the [C] LCD button repeatedly until 'SCSI' is highlighted.

    4) Press the [NEXT] button.

    5) Press the [G] button to select 'YES' from the prompt window. This will execute the formatting procedure.

    NOTE: To exit this procedure without formatting, press the [H] button to select 'NO'.

    6) Turn the Data Dial or press the '3' and '4' Up Button or Down Button LCD buttons to select the characters for the desired disk name from the alphanumeric list at the bottom of the LCD.

    7) Press the '5' Up Button LCD button to enter each alphanumeric selection into the 'NAME' parameter field.

    8) Press the '8' Up Button LCD button to select 'END'. This will record the new name for the formatted disk.
