Setting Input Channel Delays When Cascading Multiple 01V Mixers

When multiple 01V mixers are connected, or cascaded, through the Digital Stereo IN and OUT, the Channel Delays available on input channels 1 - 16 must be set in order to compensate for the processing delay that occurs before data sent from an 01V is recieved by another 01V. When connecting two 01V mixers, the Channel Delay for the second mixer should be set to 14 samples to compensate for this processing delay. If more than two 01V mixers are cascaded, then the third mixer will require a delay of an additional 14 samples (see the Scenarios below).

NOTE: The delay values for cascading more than two 01V mixers in the example presented in the 01V Owners Manual, p. 215, are incorrect. Refer to the table above for the correct delay values.

  1. Press the [UTILITY] button repeatedly until 'UTILITY' page '2' is displayed.
  2. Use the Left Button, Right Button, Up Button, or Down Button 'CURSOR' buttons to select 'SAMPLE' in the 'DELAY UNITS' section.
  3. Press the [ENTER] button.
  4. Locate the appropriate 'DELAY' page for the desired input channel.
    1. For channels 1 through 8, press the [Ø/DELAY] button repeatedly until 'DELAY' page '2' is displayed.

    2. For channels 9 through 16, press the [Ø/DELAY] button repeatedly until 'DELAY' page '3' is displayed.
  1. Press the [SEL] button for the desired input channel.
  2. Press the [ENTER] button to turn the delay for the selected channel to 'ON'.
  3. Press the Down Button 'CURSOR' button to highlight the 'DELAY' setting parameter field for the channel.
  4. Turn the 'PARAMETER' wheel to set the 'DELAY' parameter to the appropriate sample delay setting (refer to the above SCENARIOS).

    NOTE: It is not necessary to change the 'MIX' or 'FB GAIN' parameters which should normally remain at '+100' MIX (maximum delay); and at '0%' FB GAIN (0 signal feedback delay).

  5. Repeat steps 4 - 8 to set the channel delay for the remaining channels.
