Using the Tap Tempo Function on a DG STOMP
The Yamaha DG STOMP includes a Tap Tempo function that allows the 'Delay Time' parameter for the Delay and Tape Echo Effects to be set in real time.
Starting the Tap Tempo Function:
-
Engage the Delay or Tape Echo Effect.
-
Select a Patch which utilizes the Delay or Tape Echo Effect.
Press the [DELAY] or [TAPE ECHO] button until the corresponding LED is illuminated.
-
Tap the [TAP/BANK/TUNER] footswitch with your foot, or hand, at the desired tempo. The LED above the [TAP/BANK/TUNER] footswitch will blink at the set tempo and the DG STOMP will enter 'Manual' mode.
Repeat step 2 to set a different Delay Time. (optional)
Ending the Tap Tempo Function:
-
Cancel the TapTempo function by selecting a Patch or adjusting the Delay Time using the (TIME) knob.
NOTE: Once the Tap Tempo function is engaged, the (TIME) knob will not change the Delay Time value until the knob position equals or ''crosses over'' the Tap Tempo Delay Time value. At this point the Tap Tempo is cancelled and the Delay Time value is set by the (TIME) knob.
