Blank Screen appears after installing a Hard Drive in an AW4416
In the USA, the AW4416 is shipped with the hard drive packaged separately and, therefore, must be installed. If a blank screen appears after installing the hard drive and turning ON the AW4416, there may have been a problem during installation.

Unplug both ends of the ribbon cable that connect the hard drive to the hard drive adapter, ADP25H.
Check the connector pins on the hard drive, and on the hard drive adapter.

If any pins are bent, carefully straighten them as necessary.
If no pins are bent, proceed to step 3.

Reconnect both ends of the cable to the hard drive and the hard drive adapter.
NOTE: Be sure to insert each connector completely.

Check the operation of the AW4416.

If the AW4416 is still not working, contact a local Yamaha Service Center. Go to the top of this page and click on "Locate a Dealer" to find a Yamaha Service Center in your area.
