Step Recording the Pattern Track of a Song on a QY100
The Pattern Track of a Song is used to create a ''script'' or a set of instructions that will recall and play back Patterns and Sections sequentially. Each Pattern (musical style) is divided up into multiple Sections (Intro, Main A, Main B, Fill AB, Fill BA, Ending, Blank) which encompass the different elements of a song; beginning, verses, chorus, ending, and the musical segues between them.IMPORTANT: The Pattern Track ONLY records the sequence of styles and section types of a song. The Pattern Track must be either complemented by recording the Chord Track (Ch) or by manually playing the chord progression in real-time along with the accompanying Pattern Track. One of these methods is required to establish the key and actual chord progression of a Song. Auditioning Pattern Styles / Sections:
Before creating a Song using Patterns, it is not only important to determine which Pattern ''styles'' are desired, but to also determine, and note, the measure lengths of all Pattern Sections that are going to be utilized.

13) Use the Cursor buttons to navigate to subsequent measures in order to enter any additional Pattern and/or Section changes.
TIP: Changes can be made in the 'Section' area without the need to re-enter the Pattern information each time, as long as the new Section is part of the last entered Pattern.
TIP: A Pattern or Section change can be programmed to occur before the current Pattern or Section has ended.
EXAMPLE: Pattern: 001 'Mixture', Section: 'Intro', which is five measures in length, is entered at measure one. Section 'MainA' of the same Pattern is entered at measure two. The result is that Section 'Intro' will only play the first of five measures before Section MainA begins.
NOTE: If necessary, Pattern Style and/or Section entries can be erased by first highlighting the desired entry, then pressing the top [F1] 'Function' button to the right of 'ers>' in the display.
14) When all Patterns/Sections have been entered, use the Cursor buttons to select the measure following the last measure of the Song.
EXAMPLE: If the last Pattern/Section of the Song is entered at measure 80 and the Pattern/Section is 4 measures long, then the last measure of the Song is actually 83, making the 'End' Pattern destination measure 84.
