Recording a Melody and a Drum-Only Accompaniment Simultaneously
This procedure applies to the EZ30, PSR280, PSR282, PSRGX76 and PSR350.
It is possible to play a keyboard melody part with a drum accompaniment. This is done by disabling the Accompaniment section of the keyboard so that the full keyboard can be used during the recording without triggering the full Accompaniment. Only the drum part will play as a 'backing track' to the keyboard part. IMPORTANT: The Accompaniment Track recording must include at least one of the following sections: a FILL, an INTRO or an ENDING. If only one drum section is used during the recording, the keyboard will not save any data to the Accompaniment Track. Disabling the Accompaniment Section: This sets up the keyboard so that only the drums (rhythms) play. Therefore, the entire keyboard can be played without triggering the full Accompaniment.
IMPORTANT: One of the selections must be step a or d in order to actually start the recording process.
TIP: Press the [MAIN/AUTO FILL] button during the recording to add a drum fill and change the drum section as desired. Stop recording by pressing either the [INTRO/ENDING], [START/STOP] or [RECORD] button. Select one of the following options:
NOTE: The recording will play back repeatedly, until the [START/STOP] button is pressed again.
Type in a User Song number on the numeric keypad. TIP: To record over a previously recorded track, press its corresponding Song Memory button. Release the [RECORD] button. Start recording by using one of the following options:
Start playing the keyboard. The recording will start as soon as the first key is played. Stop recording by pressing the [START/STOP] or [RECORD] button. Select one of the following options:
To add another track, repeat steps 1 - 6. To play back the recording, press the [START/STOP] button. NOTE: The recording will play back repeatedly, until the [START/STOP] button is pressed again.
