Recording a Melody and a Drum-Only Accompaniment Simultaneously

This procedure applies to the EZ30, PSR280, PSR282, PSRGX76 and PSR350.

It is possible to play a keyboard melody part with a drum accompaniment. This is done by disabling the Accompaniment section of the keyboard so that the full keyboard can be used during the recording without triggering the full Accompaniment. Only the drum part will play as a 'backing track' to the keyboard part.

IMPORTANT: The Accompaniment Track recording must include at least one of the following sections: a FILL, an INTRO or an ENDING. If only one drum section is used during the recording, the keyboard will not save any data to the Accompaniment Track.

Disabling the Accompaniment Section: This sets up the keyboard so that only the drums (rhythms) play. Therefore, the entire keyboard can be played without triggering the full Accompaniment.
  1. Press and hold the [ACMP ON/OFF] button until the screen displays 'S_POINT'.
  2. Type in '000' on the numeric keypad. This eliminates the Accompaniment ''triggering'' section of the keyboard.
