Saving and Loading the Registration Memory to and from a Floppy Disk on a PSR350

The PSR350 Registration Memory consists of 8 Banks with 2 Memory locations each, for a total of 16 'setups'. The Registration Memory is usually stored to a floppy disk for two main reasons:

  •  To serve as a 'backup' in case the internal memory of the PSR350 is erased or corrupted.
  •  To create 'sets' of Registration Memory to be loaded during a live performance.

Saving the Registration Memory to Disk:
    1) Insert a formatted floppy disk.

    2) Press the [SAVE] button. The screen will display a file name that is automatically generated by the PSR350, 'UF_00xxx'.

    3) If desired, change the file name. To accept the file name as generated, proceed to step 4.

      a) Enter the new file name using the keys of the keyboard. Each key is assigned to a letter or number. The A#5 and B5 keys move the cursor to the left or right. The C6 key deletes the character at the cursor position.

    4) Press the [EXECUTE] button. The screen will display 'YES file name'.

    5) Press the [YES] button to confirm the Save operation. The screen will momentarily display 'Complete' when finished.
Loading the Registration Memory from Disk:
    1) Insert a floppy disk with the desired Registration Memory data file.

    2) Press the [LOAD] button. The screen will display the first file name on the floppy disk.

    3) If necessary, select the file name and proceed to step 3a. Otherwise, load the data from the file name on the display and proceed to step 4.

      a) Press the [+] or [-] buttons to scroll through the file name on the disk until desired file name is displayed on the screen.

    4) Press the [EXECUTE] button. The screen will display 'YES Sure?'.

    5) Press the [YES] button to confirm the Load operation. The screen will momentarily display 'Complete' when finished.
