Downloading and Installing Yamaha Card Filer

This information applies to the following models:

CS6R, CS6X, PF500, S08, S30 and 80.

The Card Filer (Version 1.0.6) is a program that allows the user to manage the data on the SmartMedia™ card that is inserted into the keyboard. MIDI files can be uploaded and download to and from the SmartMedia™ card.

This program supports Windows™ 95/98/ME/2000/XP.

Download Procedure: 

a) The 'File Download' dialog box will appear.

b) Select the 'Save this program to disk' radio button in the 'File Download' dialog box.

c) Click the <OK> button. The 'Save As' dialog box will appear.

d) Select the Windows Desktop as the destination folder.

1] Click on the drop-down button in the 'Save In:' field and select 'Desktop'. ('Desktop' appears at the top of the list)

2] Click the <Save> button. The 'Saving Progress' dialog box will appear until the download is complete.

Extraction Procedure:

a) Select the Windows Desktop as the destination folder for the Card Filer in the 'Unzip to folder:' box.

1] Click the <BROWSE>button.

2] Select 'Desktop'. ('Desktop' appears at the top of the list)

b) Click the <Unzip> button. The files will be unzipped into the Windows Desktop and then the 'WinZip Self-Extractor' confirmation dialog box will appear.

c) Click the <OK> button.

d) Click on the <CLOSE>button to close the 'WinZip Self-Extractor' dialog box.

NOTE: The above procedure will save 4 files to the Windows Desktop into a folder called 'CardFiler'.
