Recording Track-Over-Track Using the Multi Record Function of the PSR630 and PSR730

This procedure explains how to record a Song one track at a time, up to 8 Tracks in one session. Recording Track 1:

1) Press the [RECORD] button.

2) Press the [SONG] button.

3) Press the [SUB MENU DOWN] button. The screen will display 'QuickRecord'.

4) Press the [+/YES] button. The screen will display 'MultiRecord'.

5) Press the [TRACK 1] button.

6) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


7) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

8) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

9) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.
c) To record the next Track, proceed to the next procedure.

Recording Track 2:

1) Press the [TRACK 2] button.

2) Press the [TRACK 1] button. This disarms Track 1.

3) Press the [SUB MENU DOWN] twice. The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice R2'.

4) Press the [-/NO] button. The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice R1'.

5) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


6) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

7) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

8) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.
c) To record the next Track, proceed to the next procedure.

Recording Track 3:

1) Press the [TRACK 3] button.

2) Press the [TRACK 2] button. This disarms Track 2.

3) Press the [SUB MENU DOWN] . The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice L'.

4) Press the [-/NO] button twice. The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice R1'.

5) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


6) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

7) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

8) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.
c) To record the next Track, proceed to the next procedure.

Recording Track 4:
1) Press the [TRACK 4] button.

2) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.

3) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

4) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

5) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.
c) To record the next Track, proceed to the next procedure.

Recording Track 5:

1) Press the [TRACK 5] button.

2) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


3) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

4) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

5) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.
c) To record the next Track, proceed to the next procedure.

Recording Track 6:

1) Press the [TRACK 6] button.

2) Press the [TRACK 5] button. This disarms Track 5.

3) Press the [SUB MENU DOWN] . The screen will display 'Part Select: Harmony 1'.

4) Press the [-/NO] button three times. The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice R1'.

5) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


6) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

7) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

8) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.
c) To record the next Track, proceed to the next procedure.

Recording Track 7:

1) Press the [TRACK 7] button.

2) Press the [TRACK 6] button. This disarms Track 6.

3) Press the [SUB MENU DOWN] . The screen will display 'Part Select: Harmony 2'.

4) Press the [-/NO] button three times. The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice R1'.

5) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


6) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

7) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.

8) Select one of the following options:


a) To re-record the Track, start playing the keyboard or press the [START/STOP] button.
b) To exit the Record mode, press the [RECORD] button.

Recording Track 8:

1) Press the [TRACK 8] button.

2) Press the [TRACK 7] button. This disarms Track 7.

3) Press the [SUB MENU DOWN] . The screen will display 'Part Select: Harmony 3'.

4) Press the [-/NO] button three times. The screen will display 'Part Select: Voice R1'.

5) Select a Voice.


a) Press the [VOICE] button.
b) Type the number of the desired Voice on the numeric keypad. The Voice may take a few seconds to load.
c) Press the [SONG] button to return to the Song mode.


6) Start recording by playing the keyboard or by pressing the [START/STOP] button.

7) When finished recording, press the [START/STOP] button. The track will be saved to disk.
