Eliminating Time Delay Between Voice Changes
This information applies to the following models:
CVP92, CVP94, CVP96, CVP98, CVP600, CVP103, CVP105, CVP107, CVP109 and CVP700.
When a new Voice is selected in a live performance situation, there may be a slight but noticable time delay. This is due to the processing time that is required to set up the Voice and its related effects. To eliminate this delay, it is necessary to set the 'Effect Setting' (CVP90 series) or 'Voice Setting' (CVP100 series) to 'Manual'. The 'Effect Setting' and 'Voice Setting' functions add pre-programmed effects to each Voice. The effects are called up automatically every time a new Voice is selected from the panel. Setting the function to 'Manual' maintains the current effects setting even when a new Voice is selected. While this eliminates the processing delay, the selected Voice may not have the same tonal quality because the effects settings remain fixed and the pre-programmed effects are no longer used.

Changing the 'Voice Setting' to 'Manual':

Press the [FUNCTION] button. The 'Function' LED will light.
Select the 'KEYBOARD' menu. The 'Keyboard' menu will highlight.

Set the 'Effect Setting' to 'Manual'.
NOTE: The 'Voice Setting' or 'Effect Setting' will remain in memory until the power to the unit is turned OFF. To save this setting so that it is recalled when the unit is turned ON, see the following procedures.
Saving the 'Voice Setting':

If the 'Function' LED is NOT lit, press the [FUNCTION] button.
Select the 'Backup' menu. The 'Backup' menu will highlight.
Select 'Voice Setting'.
Select 'Backup ON'. An asterisk will appear next to 'Voice Setting'.
CVP103

Press the 'PAGE'
or button until page 13 is displayed.
Select 'Voice Setting'.
