The Demo Songs for the EZ30 utilize the Light Guides above the keys to indicate the left and right hand notes that are being played. Other songs in Standard MIDI File format (SMF) can also trigger the Light Guides, but they must use the correct MIDI Channels to do this. The EZ30 uses MIDI Channels 1 and 2 for the Right and Left hand parts, respectively. As long as the parts of the song have been programmed in this manner, the Light Guides will work properly.

NOTE: There are thousands of MIDI Files available via the internet for download, however, Yamaha has no control over how they are programmed or distributed. It is possible, therefore, that many of these MIDI files will not be able to properly trigger the Light Guides on the EZ30.
