Reformatting the Internal Hard Drive on an AW2816

WARNING: All data stored on the hard drive will be deleted. If the hard drive data is not expendable, create a backup before performing this procedure.
  1. Press the [FILE] button to open the 'FILE' menu page.
  2. Press the [F3] button to open the 'DISK UTILITY' tab page.
  3. Turn the DATA/JOG Dial until the the 'DRIVE' select box displays 'INT.IDE'. Click here to view.
  4. Press the [ENTER] button. The 'DEFRAG EXECUTE' and 'FORMAT EXECUTE' prompts will appear on the 'DISK UTILITY' page. Click here to view.
  5. Press the Right Button and then the Down Button 'CURSOR' buttons to select 'FORMAT EXECUTE'.
  6. Press the [ENTER] button. The 'CONFIRMATION' prompt will appear. Click here to view.
  7. Press the Right Button 'CURSOR' button to select 'OK'.

NOTE: To exit the procedure, make sure 'CANCEL' is highlighted and press the [ENTER] button.

  1. Press the [ENTER] button to begin formatting.
