Recording into the Sequencer of a PSR9000 and 9000PRO from an External Source

The on-board sequencer of the PSR9000 and 9000PRO can be used to record MIDI data from external sources, such as MIDI bass pedals, keyboards and hardware or computer-based sequencers. This is done by assigning the desired MIDI Receive Channels of the keyboard to 'Keyboard' mode.
    1) Press the [MIDI] button.

    2) Press the [A] LCD button to select 'All Parts'.

    3) Press the '8' Up Button LCD button to select 'Setup'.

    4) Press the [NEXT] button twice to select the 'RECEIVE' page.

    5) Press the '1' Up Button or Down Button LCD button to select a desired MIDI Receive Channel.

    6) Press the '2' Up Button or Down Button LCD buttons to select 'KEYBOARD' for that Channel.

NOTE: Any MIDI Channels with the 'KEYBOARD' setting will receive incoming MIDI data from an external source as if it were played on the internal keyboard. This means that the incoming MIDI data can be recorded onto a corresponding Track in the on-board sequencer.
