Using Card Slot Inputs at the Same Time as Analog Inputs on an 02R96
The 02R96 has 56 fully functional channels and an input channel patch bay that allows the user to assign card slot inputs, analog inputs, effects returns, digital inputs, bus masters, or auxiliary masters to any of the channels.
The user could assign, for example, the four card slots to 32 of the channels and then the 24 analog inputs to the remaining channels. If desired, the user could instead assign the four card slots to 32 of the input channels, use 16 analog inputs, and then use the remaining eight channels for effects returns for the internal effects.
The 02R96 will allow the user to assign any input to any channel.

TIP: Since there are no dedicated effects returns on the 02R96, it is necessary to use the input channels for effects returns if the internal effects are to be used.
