How to Use an Internal Auxiliary to Route to a Y56K Card on an AW4416
-
Press the [AUX 7] or [AUX 8] button to access the 'WAVES' plug-in card in slot 1 or 2.
Press the [F5] button to select 'PLUG-IN'. The 'WAVES' screen will appear.
Press the [ENTER] button. The 'WAVES' routing screen will appear.
Verify that the chain to be used by the AUX is set for AW.

If it is not and is selected for ADAT, cursor to the word 'ADAT' and press [ENTER] to bring up the dialog box.
Use the

,
buttons to cursorursor to 'AW'.
Press the [ENTER] button.-
Press the [SETUP] button.
Press the [F2] button to access the 'Patch OUT' screen.
Use the

,
,
buttons to cursor to 'SL1-1' if the WAVES card is in slot 1 or to 'SL2-1' if the WAVES card is in slot 2.
Use the (DATA/JOG) dial to select 'AUX 1' as the input to the slots input to the WAVES card input 1.
Press [F1] to access the patch in page.
Use the

,
,
buttons to cursor to the desired input channel for the return from the WAVES card.
Use the (DATA/JOG) dial to select the 'SL1-1' or 'SL2-1' return from the card slot. The selected channel's fader is now the return level control from the WAVES card.
Routing the individual tracks to the AUX connected via the WAVES input.-
Press the [SELECT] button above the input or track playback fader.
Press the [AUX1] button. The selected fader will now become the aux send level control.
Adjust as desired.
