Synchronizing a MOTIF to an AW4416 using MTC
The MOTIF keyboard can be synchronized to the AW4416 using MTC (MIDI Time Code). This way, the Tracks in the MOTIF do not have to actually be recorded in the AW4416. Since the MOTIF is synced with the AW4416, the outputs of the MOTIF can be connected to input channels of the AW4416 and mixed together with the Tracks recorded in the AW4416. If the optional AIEB2 card is installed in the MOTIF, the Tracks in the MOTIF can be separated to individual outputs giving the user more mixing control in the AW4416. By doing this, the Tracks in the AW4416 can be used for vocals and other acoustic instruments. To do this the AW4416 will have to be the timecode master and the Motif will need to be a slave.
NOTE: In order to sync to MTC the MOTIF must be in Song Mode. It will not sync to MTC in Pattern or Pattern Chain Mode.
