Using the Quick Record Function on an AW4416

The version 2.0 update for the AW4416 added a Quick Record function which allows the user to quickly setup the patching within the AW4416 for recording.
  1. Press the [INPUT 1-16] button in the 'MIXING LAYER' section.
  2. Raise the desired input faders to 0. This sets the input levels.
  3. Press the [QUICK REC] button and then the [F2] button.
  4. Use the Up Button, Down Button, Left Button and Right Button cursor buttons to select the jack symbol (the small circle) next to the desired input channel.
  5. Press the [ENTER] button.
  6. Use the Up Button, Down Button, Left Button and Right Button cursor buttons to select the jack symbol (the small circle) next to the track that is to be recorded.
  7. Press the [ENTER] button. A cable should now connect the input channel to the track that is to be recorded onto.
  8. Repeat steps 2 and 7 for connecting other input channels to the tracks.
  9. Use the Up Button, Down Button, Left Button and Right Button cursor buttons to select 'EXECUTE'.
  10. Press the [ENTER] button. When the confirmation window appears.
  11. Use the Up Button, Down Button, Left Button and Right Button cursor buttons to select 'OK'.
  12. Press the [ENTER] button.
  13. Simultaneously press the [PLAY] and [REC] buttons located in the 'TRANSPORT' section to engage the recording process.
  14. Press the [MONI] button and adjust the faders to the desired monitoring level.

NOTE: When using the Quick Record feature of the AW4416 it is not possible to connect multiple inputs to a single track. Each track can only have a single input. However, it is possible to connect an input to multiple tracks if desired.
