How To Submit A Warranty Claim

STEP 1: LOCATE YOUR GUITAR WARRANTY
If you do not have a copy of your Yamaha Guitars Limited Lifetime Warranty please download the warranty (37 KB, requires Abode Acrobat Reader), and educate yourself on the requirements for warranty claim.

STEP 2: LOCATE YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT

Please include the original sales receipt with your claim. The purchase must have been made at an authorized Yamaha guitar dealer, and your name must be on the receipt as original purchaser. We will verify information and serial number with the authorized dealer.

The warranty is non-transferable and is void for second hand transactions (except specific authorized mail order dealers that may sell used Yamaha guitars directly to consumers as advertised second hand instruments).

Any major modification to the guitar, especially in the wood components, will void the warranty.

STEP 3: VISIT YOUR YAMAHA DEALER

If you feel that you meet the requirements noted on the warranty, please take your guitar to an authorized dealer and present your original sales receipt. The dealer will call Yamaha Guitar Support directly to process your claim.

Yamaha Guitars does not repair or replace guitars directly to consumers. All transactions must be negotiated through an authorized Yamaha guitar dealer. It is recommended that you process your claim through the original dealer from whom you made the original purchase. If the original dealer is no longer in business, please click on the "Locate a Dealer" link above to find a Yamaha dealer in your area. The dealer will then call in the warranty claim, and we verify that warranty requirements have been met and the damage is indeed covered under warranty. The unit will be either repaired or replaced. In some cases where a model cannot be replaced by the exact model, it will be replaced with the most comparable model in craftsmanship or retail value.

STEP 4: COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR YAMAHA DEALER

Once your claim is processed it is essential that you communicate directly with the dealer to know the estimated time of completion.

Thanks for purchasing Yamaha!
